Erw Wen - Photographs of the Building Project (Oct 2006 - May 2007)
This project is now complete (on 25th May 2007). For pictures of the final state, see the last 10 shots. (Last updated January 2009)
For years we have been planning this work to extend and reorganise Erw Wen. In April 2006 we received planning permission - some plans and informatiton are here. By August 2006 we had found a builder and work finally started in October 2006.
Following one of the wettest winters on record, we rapidly became behind schedule, and finally completed about 2 months behind schedule. The following pictures tell some of the story of the changes.
Our thanks to everyone who has helped - especially our architect, Mike Potter, for great patience as the plans progressed and Paul Braybrooke (our builder) and his team, all of whom were great to work with and did a really good job.
